In the Wikiriwhi man cave

Tim Wikiriwhi and John Ansell - 16-5-13

Had dinner at the Wikiriwhis in Hamilton last night. Tim is an engineer, a libertarian, a Christian and a boxer, and Joy, among other things, is an excellent cook. So one way and another, I’m getting well looked after.

Both Tim and I were interviewed by the Waikato Times late yesterday, and a story, accompanied by a photo something like the above (this one shot by Joy in Tim’s man cave) is likely to run tomorrow.

I heard yesterday that a Dunedin meeting has now been confirmed for the evening of 11 June in a lecture theatre of Otago University. Thanks to Colin and Hilary for arranging that.

Before that, we’ve got a Hastings meeting on 7 June. More on these later.

Now to focus on tonight’s meeting at 7.00 pm in the Celebrating Age Centre, 30 Victoria Street, Hamilton.

NOTE: Apparently we’re not allowed into the venue before 6.30pm.

  1. Hi John and Tim. I am desperate to drive down from Nth Shore to be there tonight for what I’m sure will be a great meeting! Sadly it looks like work commitments in Auckland will preclude me making it after all! Is there any way you guys can arrange for it to be videoed/recorded so that it could be shared with your many thousands of strong supporters from all round NZ via YouTube or similar at a later date? This would be fantastic if it could be arranged!! Please?

  2. Just wondering what the silence from the Hamilton meeting is saying???

Sez there were 60 present at the meeting . . . bit low after advertising lead-in etc but hey dudes, one meeting doesn’t make or break the need for Equality in NZ which is what most contributors to this blog are working towards . . .

There were very few at the first Auckland meeting from memory . . . the thing is, those of us who believe in the Treatygate are in for the long haul because we know we have truth and reason on our side; we always knew it wasn’t going to be easy and it isn’t as the comments and happenings have shown.

Keen to hear from those at the meeting as to the feedback and comments made there in response to the Treatygate message . . . .

  3. John was going to see if he could get the Hamilton meeting recorded so other supporters of this cause who were unable to attend in person could share the Waikato support and words of wisdom from John and Tim. Anyone know of any progress or developments in this regard?

  4. Hi – just wondering: is there a connection with Mr Wikiriwhi who was among my many relieving teachers at St Heliers Primary in 1958??
